Marin County Icon Set
Set of 20 icons created to represent Marin County, CA. The assignment was to create a cohesive set based on a chosen subject, that fit with each other and with the look and feel of the subject. These icons were designed entirely freehand using Adobe Illustrator, and are intended to portray a sense of depth and motion. Completed for ARTG2252 Graphic Design Principles in July 2024.

The first five icons are based on local wildlife and geography. They depict a sunset, wave with a surfboard, Mt. Tamalpais, redwood trees, and an umbrella on a beach. The second set of icons are local birds that can be seen around Marin County: Red-tailed hawk, Broad-tailed hummingbird, Great Blue heron, White pelican, and a Great Horned owl. The third set of five show landmarks and recognizable features of Marin, which are the Point Reyes Lighthouse, the arches of Tam High, a California Route 1 highway sign, Karl the Fog of San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge. The last five icons depict items and places that hold social or historical cultural significance in the area: a bike, a VW bus with "MARIN" license plate, a Mission Bell, a Miwok teepee, and Angel Island.
